About Kristin Kern

“Hi, I’m Kristin. I’m so glad you’ve found your way here!

If you’re here, something in your life likely feels heavy, confusing, or unresolved. You don’t need to carry that alone. Reaching out for support takes courage, and I want to acknowledge that first and foremost. Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, and my first priority is to meet you exactly where you are in every session. My hope is that therapy with me feels like pulling up a chair, taking a breath, and having space to talk honestly about what’s been weighing on you. I believe that healing begins in spaces where we feel safe enough to be seen. A place where you can unwind, feel understood, and recharge, while also doing the meaningful, and sometimes challenging work.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) and National Board Certified Counselor (NCC). While I see clients with many presenting concerns, I specialize in trauma and complex trauma, attachment-related struggles, anxiety, depression, nervous system dysregulation, chronic stress, grief and loss, relationship concerns, and self doubt. Much of my work is grounded in trauma-informed care and attachment science, helping clients understand how early relational experiences and nervous system patterns continue to shape present day relationships, emotional regulation, and well-being. I frequently work with attachment styles and support clients in moving toward greater internal security and relational clarity. My approach is both integrative and evidence-based. I believe that therapy should be tailored to the individual, not the other way around. This approach allows me to draw from multiple modalities to ensure you are receiving the care you deserve. It also allows us to maintain a balance so we can address what arises week to week while also working at a deeper level to create lasting change.

Above all, this work is about you. My role is to provide thoughtful, attuned care while helping you build insight, emotional regulation, a stronger sense of self, and to promote healing. It is a privilege to walk alongside you as you move toward greater balance, resilience, and emotional well-being.”
